There a really interesting Canadian edition of The Escapist that was published earlier today. The Escapist, for the uninitiated, is something of a blogazine that publishes content about the video game industry and that which surrounds it. When it first launched it was actually very magazine-like in its layouts, though, it's since switched to a less stylish but more user-friendly layout and design that allows them to publish content on a more frequent basis.
This Canadian edition of the blag (my way of saying blog-rag, though, I know XKCD's "blog" is called the same thing; let me have just this one thing, dammit) hits up a number of topics, including Canada's stance on copyright reform (in regards to software piracy), a chat with developers about the future of Canada as a game-developing nation, our country's game-producing lineage (with big props to Don Mattrick), and a feature on Artery, a company that aims to break down internal company barriers in order to aid in software development.
That's a lot of reading you should be doing tonight before our big birthday tomorrow, kudos to The Escapist for celebrating it with us!
