Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is finally in production! Director Edgar Wright has someone shooting behind-the-scenes footage of the movie (the second vid, "Day 1", is featured in this post), and now we can get glimpses of actors eating saltine crackers and playing Zelda. Also, Knives and Ramona are featured, but we'll have to wait for the official showdown...
The movie is largely, if not entirely, being filmed in Canada and stars a few Canadian actors. If you're wondering what the "play" connection might be, you really have to read the excellent graphic novels that the movie is based on. If you need a morsel of info, though, I'll tell you that the Toronto that Scott Pilgrim inhabits is largely the Toronto that really exists (down to Sneaky Dee's food selection), except for a healthy dose of magic realism.
Think power-ups, bonus lives, and dudes exploding into golden coins. So, do ya think the movie's going to rock ultimate!?
